Rewilding

A key aspect of the Field is our rewilding plan. In winter 21/22, we planted over a thousand trees with the help of the Woodland Trust and the Rewilding Network CIC.

​

We then successfully applied to the Wilder Horsham fund managed by the Sussex Wildlife Trust and In Autumn 2023 we created a wildflower meadow and wildlife pond to help increase biodiversity and improve the habitat for wildlife to thrive. We are part of the Weald to Waves project https://www.wealdtowaves.co.uk/ helping to create a nature recovery corridor across the South East of England. Our goal is to have a pair of turtle doves nesting at the Field one day. "Build it and they will come!”
