Dave Doyle – Substance Misuse Counsellor
 I am a mature individual with a wealth of experience as a qualified counsellor, working with people with substance misuse problems, including the homeless and disadvantaged. I have a deep understanding of people’s needs and am non judgemental and possess a great sense of humour together with patience and tolerance. My strongest asset is probably my own personal experience with substance misuse and overcoming life’s challenges. I have a diploma in Humanistic Counselling from the City of Islington College, London and have been practising for over 10 years working at two major treatment facilities in Bournemouth and Brighton.
I understand the benefits of working with horses and have been involved in the horse racing industry for the past four years, obtaining my NVQ Level 3 in Racehorse Management. I am now combining my experience to work in this field of EAP with Shine for Life.
